The battle will be fought in January 2009…
Oberwesel, a small quiet town somewhere in Germany, where LARP is still as it's supposed to be. No one would suspect the final front to arise here preparing for the last epic battle for the future of german LARP.
Destroyers stand against keepers, super heroes against super villains. You too, choose your side. Look out for companions and take fate into your own hands. But beware! Choose your opponents wisely and keep your true identity a secret!
Up to now, it's still calm at the gates of Oberwesel City, but the times of decisions are coming up – join us to save German LARP…
For You alone will determine the fate of LARP!
The event
From January 9th to 11th 2009, the MittelPunkt already for the fourth time provides an opportunity for its participants to exchange experiences with other larpers to learn about new ideas around the hobby larp for three days. New impulses can not least be given by our international participants. The MittelPunkt is modelled on the Knudepunkt/Knutepunkt/Knutpunkt/Solmukohta (nodal point), an annual international LARP conference that alternating takes place in the nordic countries of Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland since 1997.
Contents
Whether organization, plot, rules or setting - we want to encourage the participants to exchange mechanisms and methods, to analyze them and develop new ways together. The motto wants to provide a framework for the event and will as well be reflected in a set of points of the agenda: What are the recent tendencies in (german) LARP? Are some of the developments questionable? Can and should those be counteracted?
Participants
Every larp player, theroretician and organizer worldwide is appreciated at MittelPunkt 2009 as well as interested people from adjacent areas!
Within the MittelPunkt 2009 the annual general meeting of the German Live Action Role Playing Association (Deutscher Liverollenspiel-Verband e.V.) as well as the meeting of campaign Mittellande (Kampagne Mittellande) will be proceeded. Members of the association and the campaign will therefor receive a seperate invitation.
